US Boycott is a citizen-led, non-partisan movement fighting against US economic aggression and President Trump’s explicit threat to annex Canada.
We are calling on all Canadian organizations to stand with us by endorsing a boycott of US goods, services, non-essential travel and investments.
Who We Are
US Boycott.org is a citizen-based, non-partisan organization dedicated to the establishment of an institutional boycott of US goods, services, non-essential travel and financial investments in the US in response to targeted threats by the US government to the Canadian economy and Canada’s national sovereignty.
In combination with the groundswell of individual Canadians choosing to abandon American products and services and avoid non-essential travel to the US, US Boycott aims to harness the collective power and economic clout of Canadian businesses, associations, unions, community-based organizations, and other institutions to fight against the US’s destructive tariffs and threats to Canadian sovereignty.
US Boycott is: Strictly non-partisan, and open and welcoming to people of every race, ethnicity, gender, identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion and background.
Why a US Boycott?
US President Trump’s strategy to undermine the Canadian economy and annex Canada is a violation of international law. These laws were created to preserve peace and uphold the principles of state sovereignty and non-intervention enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.
According to economic forecasts, the effects of President Trump’s tariffs on Canada will be punishing across the economy from reduced exports (-3%), supply chain disruptions, reduction of GDP (-0.5 to 1.0%), and the loss of jobs (130,000+.) While a consumer boycott of US products & services is well under way, the vast majority of purchases are made by larger entities. This is why we need YOU!
A collective boycott by Canadian businesses, associations, unions, federations, community-based and faith-based organizations will surely be felt in Washington. The value of American exports to Canada was $US 595 billion in 2023. This is larger than the value of US export trade with China, Japan, the EU, Mexico or any other trading partner. Similarly, the value of Canadian travel to the US surpasses that of any other nation, with more than 20 million trips made by Canadians to the US in 2024, generating $US 20.5 billion annually for the US economy.
But we can change that together.
The Pledge:
Until President Trump retracts his threat to annex Canada and reinstates the tariff rates officially negotiated within the framework of the 2020 United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (CUSMA), institutions expressing their support for the US Boycott pledge to:
- Avoid buying and selling US products
- Refrain from procuring US services
- Halt non-essential travel to the US
- Divest from US holdings.
